Trying to locate someone in Sitka, and was wondering if anyone has a phone book? Not a creeper. This is a cousin of mine.

Yeah, in my desk at home. If it's an emergency, I can have someone look up a name (but may be a day or so before anyone's around up there). But if I were you, I'd check the online white pages and maybe contact rntim via private message (the nurse who lives in Sitka).

Thanks. I couldn't remember who it was that lived there. I will PM rntim. On the white pages, it seems like I have to pay, to get the information or sign up. I figured I'd try the phone book option first.

I reached out via FB, but it has been years since he has used FB.

At the risk of stating the obvious, did you try Googling his name + Sitka, or spouse's name + Sitka? When a friend in -48 died last year I was able to reach his wife that way. Of course, they had a landline, which helped tremendously.

I did. I got hits, but wasn't able to access any numbers. I didn't go to much into it, since I am trying to deal with some news as well as wrap up two classes. I knew if I had access to a phone book, I might hit gold.

And I did hit gold. I haven't gotten access to a phone book, but I did find his company's website and called the business number.

Alaska is a very small state, and I got that information from a friend who has a mutual friend with my cousin.

SO word of advise to anyone wanting to move up here: Alaska is small. Network wisely and understand that your shenanigans might follow you around

Oh good, that was going to be my next suggestion.

Shenanigans most certainly follow you around. They come with you everywhere you go.

The "Juneau and Vicinity" phone book also includes phone #s for every other community in SE. And, it's not very thick...
