Ha. That sounds more like it. The burdened labor rate is, in my experience, usually around 80% more than your salary.

There are a lot of teachers around Fairbanks without work. I have known some graduates with master degrees that stand inline for teacher-assistant jobs. Also, a lot of the teachers that were hired recently are teachers who were let go last and this year by the school districts. The problem for State workers, which include teachers, is that the State's economy is not good. Alaskans will be taxed to pay for government, but there is so much tax payers can take.
