Default looking at moving to palmer/ wasilla

can anyone tell us about the jobs in the area? Do most people work inside in the winter or is it mixed. How bad are the foreclosures in these areas. How are the schools? Is the hunting ok or excellent in the immediate area?

People that have outside jobs, lineman, framers etc, continue to work pretty much all winter. some time the construction jobs don't work during the real cold weather...say -20 degrees. But we usually don't have more than 2 weeks of that.

I do hunt in the immediate area, but I would say it is mediocre. The only real good hunting in Alaska is "fly in".

Foreclosures are up, but not nearly as bad as many areas. Of all the houses on the market, less than 10% are foreclosures.

Schools...touchy subject. I don't know how to compare to other areas. Here is their website. www.matsuk12.us
