In the spring Fish and game, stocks the gravel pits near Eielson, you will see signs to the effect. Chena lakes is good for ice fishing into the first few weeks of April. Quarts and Birch lakes offer good fishing also. Watch the local paper etc. The ice is off those lakes about the 2nd or 3rd week of May. Harding lake is not much for fishing, so I would pass on that. Some times you can find burbot or pike at the mouths of creeks and or rivers where the sloughs meet.

Not much of a fisherman either, but this is what I have seen over the years.

Enjoy your stay.

Arcticthaw.
