Me either, even though I've never been there but it bothers me to know animals are losing their habitat, dying out, land is just being gobbled up, etc. etc. just about everywhere in the world. On a lighter note, I've received nothing but headaches & irritation from children around me....remind me why people have them again? I'm sure we're being cursed at in spades right now from certain people....oh hell, it's fun

Yup...sometimes I need this site to keep my sanity while sitting at my desk; a good conversation, or even a good argument at least keeps me a wake and feeling that I'm alive!

You know, the way the economy and energy costs are, if you have even ONE child on an average income, you are going to be scraping to put that sucker through college. More than one...forget it...morgatge, bankruptcy, medical ---ahhhh

global warming.. .. .. we are saturated with it.. constantly on the news and in every type media there is available.

What most do not know.. is recently 300 top world scientists merged on the U.N. in protest to say that this is NOT TRUE.. of course glaciers are melting.. they have been for many thousands of years.

I like the way King Solomon puts it.. all the rivers run into the sea, yet the sea is not full .

Our precise Earth has always been going in cycles, changes, Nothing ever stays the same forever.!!

Watch what happens.. the end result of all of this hype.. is for GLOBAL GOVERNANCE. ONE WORLD GOVERMENT ONE CURRENCY..

First you have to 'deceive' the masses. George Bush (father) spoke in 1990 of a one world government.. cept he called it new world order..

THAT is what this is all about. ( IMHO) I read both sides of the issue throughly. constantly, daily for manhy months.. I am convinced of the oposite only because of what I see.. .. 1 + 1 = 2

to the person who wanted to know about polar bear meat ??? Jet black, grainy like old knarled wood.. but it was the sweetest, tenderest most delicous meat I have ever tasted. It was the only time I have ever asked for seconds.. everyone at the table, at once said .. NO !!

i READ in the news last night.. a 2 million dollar grant to study if the polar bears are indeed in danger. YOU CAN BET ALL OF THAT 2 MILLION that the reusluts are going to be contrary to what the truth actualy is.

I read a few years ago .. on a very prestigious web site.. that tells the truth about a lot of things that are front foremost in the news.

ALL of this global warming 'hype' is to generate money for companies to do research.. (not google or wiki) but real research.. these scientists that are now in full force out in the field having the time of their lives. getting paid.. .. do you actually think.. they are going to tell the truth ??

I realize that people lying is very rare in today's society.. important educated people do not do such underhanded things one bit. (intense sarcasam)

HUNDREDS OF REPUTABLE SCIENTISTS are being told .. with immense pressure to change the facts of their research !!! Many of them cannot get their papers of research published because of the pressure from Nasa and the federal government.

I wonder why ??

Sure I have lots of them three huge notebooks full of color slides that have never even ever been scanned. from 1991 when I was working for UIC but those are mostly of construction projects all over Barrow on 23 different construction sites. from the airport all over this town & the ice road. and the drill rigs way out of town that have been drilling for oil .

Years ago I worked with this old-timer, who had 2 kids, and he gave me this advice: "Each kid will cost you a house."

I've never had any myself. Not sure if it's a good thing or not. But I know I'll be able to retire comfortably; if I had kids, that probably would not be the case.

Well I have raised 4 boys by myself . All I have to say is.. it was tough, I had to make a tough decision, go to work and let some day care or other method, to have someone take care of my chidlren while I was working?? but I chosse a different way. I stayed home with them, and taught them. all day every day. I had to put my character in them and train them.

The book of Proverbs says "Train up a child in the way he should go.. he will not leave it when he is older !!

His fame was legendary, so muich so that a queen went to visit him she had to see this for herself NO ONE is that smart she said. . she was soon proved very wrong! 9 different teachers have approached me, and said these words, Mr. Eves, how did you do it ? We have never in all of our teaching careers ever met boys like this. How did you do this. ? I said easy, I spend ALL my time with my sons. I never went out on a date, or anythnig else I stayed in with these boys for 20 years until they were all grown up. Now we are still together..

Sand lake school, Fairview School, and Mountain view school. I it is all a matter of public record) . these boys won awards every single year. I pulled all my sons out of high school 4 1/2 years ago.

they have accomplished something that very few people ever achieve.!!

Isaiah is still back in Point Hope he is married now w/ 3 children. BUT THE THREE sons that are with me, well when we first got into Barrow we filled out paper work for housing. trying to find a house to rent.. We were denied housng and the reason they denied us .. "criminal activity" was the reason that TNHA cited. Of course we were extremly upset. That was 5 months ago, this also is a matter of public record. but yesterday when My son Jesse went in their. there was quite a commotion.

Nothing but apologies from everyone in the office. Jesse was offered a job, he laughed! working for you would cost me too much money Jesse said.. We have sold over 200 bracelets here in Barrow since our arrival.. when people see 3 young kids making that much money.. suspicions were aroused all over this village. cops followed us.. it is not normal for 3 young kids to work that hard. but to make that much money. ADULTS don't make that kind of money .. the cops knew it.. TNHA knew it. The head State Tropper in town has come over our house lots, to purchase gifts for his family in the lower 48. He just smiles and is amazed when he watches how these boys work.

All of this came to pass because we listened to what the barge operator said in Point Hope.. get up to barrow with your bracelets he said.

children making 10K in a week ?? yeah you betcha they followed us all over this town.. they were postivie we were doing something wrong... then they finally came up to us and told us.. !! they were just astounded when they found out the truth !! I am damn proud of my sons and the reputatoin they have achieved in all three villages.. recently a native woman from Dillingham (southern Alaska) came to Barrow when she entered our house, she said let me see these bracelets I have been hearing so much about! she spent over 1,000 ! and for you people here in Barrow that think I am exagerating. go talk to the state police. .go talk to the Barrow cops.. especially Leon !

go to the District Attorneys office. (chuckle) every woman in that office will hold up her arm and show you.. what they all talk about and wear to work!

Some people think when they hear the word Ivory , that we are doing something wrong.. not a chance !! We sell ivory every day all over this village. and other villages. fish and game is well aware of what we do. they purchase lots of bracelets from us. On my blog I have pujt the stpes needed to get started in hyour own home based Ivory business.. Especially if you live in Juneau that is the one hot spot for the entire state. When those cruise liners arrive and those tourists come into to town, Point Hope is well aware of Juneau.. and the benefits it offeres that no other part of the state can match.

People from Point Hope have been selling their crafts in that town to tourists for decades. This is the one spot in Alaska to get the absolute highest prices.

It is very easy to generate 5k in a day down there, if you know how to work with ivory and take the time to learn !! Anyone can learn this.. but most are just too lazy to even begin.. Baleen is easy to purchase and find.. Learn how to make a baleen basket while you sit there night after night watching television People from Point Hope sell Baleen baskets all the time in Juneau. Pont Hope has a high reputation for being among the very best carvers in the entire state. The North Slope Borough has a book that is free that teaches all the necessary steps to do this. I know of a person in Point Hope that gets as much as 35,000 for one baleen basket. He just makes four of them each and every year for over 20 years. the cover to that basket is larger than an umbrella !! This person is very famous all over the state of Alaska, all of his baskets are masterpieces !!

I am posting this to inspire some people who have the smarts to begin fnancial freedom so simply !! If we can do it.. anyone can ! I will post all the examples of our work on my blog. Teaching children how to do this is something we have been doing for a long time. we helped many kids get started in Kotzebue, Point Hope and even in Barrow.
Call or visit Alaska Fur Exchange in Anchorage, purchase a small piece of ivory . invest in it. .learn how to make simple ear-rings. If you work hard at home. .you can easily make a years pay in less than a month !!

After listening to people say how much they can't stand children that are noisy and such. I just had to put my 2 cents in and tell you how proud I am of my sons.. they have already in 4 1/2 years given me 5 houses or more, we are jsut getting started, we are purchasing a 'robot' that can do all the steps for us.. watch out !!

There is a peson here in town (Barrow) that has a color printer that costs over $13,000. This color printer can cut & print and etch and draw on farbric or on ivory or baleen !! any size piece !!

The boys get up early every day for their 'job' they work hard 16 hours per day. this is what they love to do.. and mark made this last night



Three boys do this every day.. .. .. this is their job and they love to work in their shop(s). We have two of them in this huge house.

This bracelet was made with matching ear-rings. the ivory insets are not just glued to the top of the piece. it is inlaid, Ivory w/ Ivory, this bracelet is heavy it was sold before it was even made.

Floyd I appreciate you taking the time to explain about the bears habitat to me, but I guess I'm wondering where exactly it is that they live. Do they just float around on the pack ice for most of their lives?
