Yes, it was Romeo and we'll miss him too if they move him. I think the black bears are more of a problem. Last fall, one bear decided he liked the bird seed in our feeder. He kept coming back even though we put it away.

Romeo isn't the problem. It's all the peeps letting their mutt traps "play" with a wolf. Give me a break.

True. There's no way to keep the idiots from doing stupid things.

I was really afraid for a few minutes that my dog was going to be killed, so the thought of a pet baby moose is not so terribly appealing to me.

Cleaning up after one would be a bummer too.

I was camping on the bank of the Talkeetna River once, about 20 miles upstream from Talkeetna, when a rather large black beaver popped up over the bank right next to my camp. It stood upright on his hind legs and was checking me out when my dog decided the beaver was a threat and went after it. The beaver casually slid back into the river ... and my dog jumped in after it!

The bank is rather steep where I was camped, and the river was flowing pretty quickly. By the time my dog managed to climb out of the river she was almost a mile from my camp.

I just killed a big black spider in the front hallway of the house. It looked like a black widow.
