The wood shop home was great. I liked seeing all the stuff that they had in the closets too.

I fell in love with the sauna The woodshop was fascinating, but I know if we were to get such a place it would end up being the 'man-cave' and I wouldn't be allowed in.

I'd either have to get another spa or have our current one shipped there.

By spa you are meaning jacuzzi, no? We are hoping for one, but I am a wee bit wary of them. I lived in Colorado for a time and had one...but the chemicals did a number on my skin (sensitive typical red-head skin).

Indeed. I bought one in 2000. I've had one since 1993. Not the same one, though. We're on our second one. Its great when the temperatures get cold, but here in NC we haven't used it much since we started getting warm winters.

They wouldn't do much for anyone here either unless they are fully enclosed - but I would think what is the point? We had 60-70mph wind gusts all the day through. ugh....

I wouldn't mind one in AK though...for nothing else to sit out in the middle of the night and watch the Aurorae. May make taking photos interesting

That would be interesting. I used to like gathering up a handful of snow & putting it down my wife's back as she relaxed in the water. Some of the enclosures cost more than the spas though.

Egads...I can imagine how thrilled she must have been I think if the home doesn't already come with a spa, I will wait a year or so...acclimate myself to an Alaskan winter. Though, Wyoming was horrid this year. But then I shouldn't even complain, so the man states, Kuparuk is still frigid.

I guess I shouldn't complain either. We had a very mild if not downright warm winter. But I like cold & snow. I don't want it to be 70* year round.

If the 90º temps said anything, yes you had a warm winter! This winter was not the norm for this area of late. We have had more snow, colder temps...and the winds have all been abysmal this year. Have you had much moisture?
