I may have been a bit too zealous in my age-grouping but the fact remains that gun education is a very wise decision.

I don't have any problem with teaching your kids how to use firearms, but thinking that a 5 year old is ready to use guns and build computers is just nuts.

I was given a .22 chipmonk for Christmas shortly after I turned 4. That doesn't mean i was packin it around the playground and slept with it under my pillow. In fact it was kept locked up far from me, and only came out when I was behaving, and in a safe place.

I don't think Classic Satch was imagianing strapping a baby girl with revolver and sending her out to her friends... Maybe I guess thats what was going on so it might have been a good idea to say something, but um hehe I'm too tire to keep my eyes open and I'm typing, good night.

Though I do believe life in the bush requires proper knowledge and use of weapons. I tend to agree with Warptman that knowing to shoot in urbanized area is not a requirement.

The defenition of what an "Alaskan" is actually very vague and possibly complicated. Honoring the land, animals and those that made our lives here possible is just a good start. Attitude towards our fellow man and for those comming here, not changing things to the way they did them back home, is good practice.

Building a computer is just parts assembly and yes I could teach a 5 year old to do it. After all most 5 year olds have been using them for a couple of year now.

ok, fine, but why would you have a 5 year old building computers anyway?

Aaaah, it's the combinations of proper parts and compatability that makes the difference. Plus, I water-cool and overclock my PC's. I'm a PC nerd from hell and aren't afraid to admit it. Maybe I can make some money in Wasilla by fixing people's PC's for far lower rates than those other "experts" do.

I was just having fun. Given the gene pool that our daughter is drawing upon, I have a distinct feeling she'll be able to do what she wants to.
