Well, I have been "off-air" for a LOOONG time--how's all my AK buddies?? How are u, Rance??
I'm still here--but may be moving don't want to but may have to move to WA for a career move (positive). I'll be trying like u-know-what to get back here--don't know for sure yet if I'm leaving tho. Should know this week--maybe. ![]() It's almost herring fishing time--the whales were in the harbor yesterday here on POW. What a beautiful weekend--best weather in months. Well, talk to you soon I hope! Drop me a PM if you like. Just had a chaotic few months and tried to "simplify" by minimizing my chat-time on computer. Later! |

What's up there, Rance? You must be on a big project or something--sounds pretty neat.
My ancestors came directly from Norway, I guess--no wonder I love saunas and speak a little like they do in that movie "Fargo"--comes from being born and raised in Minnesota, I guess ![]() Hope you are doing great. ![]() |

I'm calling it a vacation. Even tho it's only a week long. For the most part it is still brown and drab here...but there are flowers coming out everywhere and the trees are budding. It's identical temps as Sterling but a little farther along into spring. Hannah is attending classes so I'm just hanging out here at the house and catching up on some reading. Well if you can call reading a technical manual relaxing I guess. Spent all day yesterday shopping and eating and driving. These round-a-bouts are kicking my you know what!
All in all it's great to be back here. it's got a funny way of growing on ya. The people are great, the scenery is great, the food is great and the birds are singing all over the place. A totally different assortment of sounds. There are magpies and crows here but they sound different! I'll sort through some photo's and post in the chat thread. It's noon here right now...which puts AK at about 2 am. Sweet dreams!

Alaskagrl - I tried to PM you and you are blocked for e-mail, unless I am doing something wrong. Or maybe you just don't want to talk to me!? |

We have Juneau weather here today. We had very strong thunderstorms last night with a lot of different size hail. Today we have light - heavy rain. Sometimes I wonder where the little drops of water have been on their journeys to fall in my yard.

Juneau doesn't get hail and thunder....that's eastcoast and midwest weather. Juneau gets the same soggy, misty, foggy dank cloud kinda drizzle stuff we get in WA. It's not like your thunderstorms (which I actually miss)..it;s more like a perpetual curtain of drizzle.
