Does construction come to halt in the winter or do they keep on building in the winter if the weather isn't too bad?

Just wondering how long can we reasonably expect to have a custom built home in Homer, AK completed once it's been started.

Yes it does. Most outfits will try and get slabs and footings done ahead of time, and framing can be done through the winter. We always did the inside/finish work in the winter months.

Often, the winter is the only time heavy equipment can be transported to remote areas via ice roads and such.

Default construction

My company is the general on the new Shell Deadhorse facility, and the pad is down, and the steel is going up now.
