At least the black spruce cones look pretty in the winter months. This one is about 1/4" across the top.


Well, I believe it's black spruce, but don't really know

Just having fun today. It has been snowing for the past couple of days, but just a little accumulation (maybe an inch). The sun finally came out from behind the clouds for an our or two when i was taking pictures. These little cones are hard to see most times, but are very clear through a zoom lens. By the way, the buds on the willow threes are showing all over the place around here, so Spring is coming
