Well fellow Alaskans, are you all getting the beautiful snow coming down? And how about the 60+ some accidents between 6 and 10 am this morning in Anchorage and on the Glenn. What is it with people that they can't slow down when it is snowing?? Dang...they need driving lessons. Soooo who else is getting snow up here? Be careful out there.

Juneau got a little this morning, but the biggest flakes I've seen were yesterday. Some of them had to be the size of quarters or even the forgotten 50 cent pieces. It made for whiteout conditions because of the size and amount falling.

Gee, you mean we aren't suppose to speed up in order to dodge all those Global Warming flakes?

Well...there is the theory that if you go faster, then there is less time on the road for you to have an accident...

(ok...not so funny, but a lot of people seem to think that way. I've noticed that a disproportionate number of people in Anchorage always seem to be in a big hurry. What's the rush?)

Mostly clear out this way, plenty cold still. Its 3 above and mostly sunny. I do believe we're going to flood on the Kuskokwim this year. Thick ice and a big snowpack in the mountains is going to make it a interesting break-up. I hope I get back in time to see the flood.

It was snowing like the dickens on Monday, then again yesterday. Today hasn't been so bad. But there are some serious winds a-blowin down by the water.
