You'd have to load it on senduit dot com and post the link for us to either save or open and see it.

This is the pitts. A $100 power bill will now be in the neighborhood of $500. To top it off heating oil is around $3.70 and since we'll now be competing with the power company, I'll bet it goes over $5 a gallon as the suppliers take advantage.

I guess it depends on how you buy it. We're on keep full and that's what they charged us last month.

I said this on another thread but I'll say it here too. A friend of mine works for the state, she told me that basically her entire division was on the phone with the fed. emergency relief folks. The plan is to try to get subsidies to AEL&P so that our electricity rates won't rise TOO much.
Now, whether or not they are successful, remains to be seen. Since legislature is now out and we are not an oil producing region, the rest of the state and country probably doesn't care too much about us at this point.
I also heard a rumor, can't verify it, that there are people considering using helicopters to dump seawater on the avalanche area... to melt the snow I guess. However right now with temps the way they are I think that would just make it worse?
I know a lot of people who are going to have to be going without electricity until this blows over. We are lucky this didn't happen a month ago, there'd be an awful lot of people without heat and that'd be a serious problem. Even now the temps are well below freezing.
