Is all of AK experiencing very late spring? (Anchorage: snow, mosquito)

Right now, it's snowing. Ground frost is within three or so inches of the surface. Not a lot in the way of buds, and day before yesterday the crocus finally began to bloom.

Having over 150 starts for the garden, I cannot hardly wait for spring to actually arrive.

I tell ya, the dogs are amazing: sleep right through this outside, with smiles and happiness! Would that I were so tough ....

I have 4 inches of fresh snow and it's still a blizzard this morning. Sweet.

My sister is using my truck while she's in Anchorage, I called her yesterday and said not to drive it with all the snow around. She beat me to it, its parked until it get a little better out.

At least they extended the deadline for removing studded tires! I am very thankful I did not get around to it, so far

Yes, very cool spring/breakup. Just three days ago, the snow had finally melted off the surface of my vegetable garden! Last year, we were planting here in my neighborhood, the first week of May!

Man I cannot wait to till the garden and get to planting. And flowers. I've got hundreds of flowers to plant.
