Default Adak Sea Surface Temperature

I was looking at charts of sea surface temperature, and I noticed that Adak, Alaska, has a recent temperature measurement of 57.7 degrees (F). I know it's pretty far south, but could this be correct? Just curious...

Yes it could be correct. From what I understand, due to the ocean currents some waters in Alaska are warmer than California.

It may be correct, but it sure surprises me. When I was out to Adak in '91, the water was COLD. Of course, we did fish mainly the North side.

A near 58 degree temperature certainly surprises me.
