LOL....about 10" of snow in Anchorage so far with 8-10" more predicted for overnight. Basically same for the Valley. Talked with my sister in the midwest today and it was 80 there. How about the rest of you Alaskans, where are you and how much snow. Sigh.....I thought for sure Spring was here but I should have known better lol.

Snowing here in Bethel, not as bad as Anchorage though. I'm sick of winter. I hope the snow will be gone in town by next weekend. I called my sister up in Anchorage and asked her not to drive my truck in that crap. "I'll put it in 4x4." is what she said. Not good enough for me.

I talked with a friend in Wasilla today. She said that heavy wet snow was falling in fat flakes. I told her to box it up & ship it to me. It was 93* here today. Way too hot for April. I miss snow & cold weather.

I arrived, flying over the most majestic (and crystal clear) views - alpenglow the likes I have never seen. The following day (Thursday) I nearly melted as it was warm and sunny in Wasilla...
This day? For one thing, I had laughed when talking to my son back in Wyoming - he was praying for a snow day this day...complaining because the buses still ran with 2" on the ground. Then I awoke to somber skies and it all went south from there. I had checked the weather before venturing out to view more homes and it simply stated: "slight chance of rain mixed with snow". It is now closer to a foot of snow and still falling. Not that I am complaining (much). It actually gives me an idea what to expect next Winter

I got less than half what Anchorage got here near Settler's Bay. Maybe 6". And it has stopped snowing here for the time being.

We're only about half a mile apart.

Default unprecedented seven days of sun

We're going for an unprecedented seven days of sun here in Haines. It's been up to almost sixty at times, but then that 'ol north wind will start blowing and remind us it's not quite summer yet. But still, seven days, it's almost surreal here in SE...

We were planning on driving up to ANC to visit some friends, might just have to put that trip off for a couple of days.
