Last I heard, quite some time ago as well, he was in the process of leaving New Orleans and heading up to some hospital in Alaska. Does anyone know if he made it? Was his wagon train attacked by hostiles, scattering his horses, taking his medical instruments and using them as decorative baubles? Did he change his mind because he came to realize that he could not live the rest of his life without Cajun Cookin'? I could certainly understand this line of reasoning, up to a point, I mean, if he really liked Cajun Cookery that much he should have learned to cook. Is he living outside Seward incognito? Any information will keep me from asking several hundred inane questions. Thanks.

I haven't seen anything from him in a while. It seems people ask questions about Bethel and when they make a site visit, reality scares them away and don't make the plunge. Maybe he had second thoughts about here. Who knows. There are a lot of new people here, though.
