Default can't believe

I can't believe how far and how fast the "rice hoarding" meme has spread. They had a bit about it on the radio today, apparently you can't get rice in Bethel at all now, it's sold out.

Bethel ?!?....a rice-hoarding hotspot? What the heck is up with that?

BTW, I just checked the bag I've got in the pantry. Last month it was $2.49/lb. for organic basmati here at the Mountain Market, before all this started.

What are people freaking out about when they're still only paying maybe a bit over a dollar a pound down south?

I don't know, rice isn't all that good for you anyway. I hardly ever buy it.

Fuel just went up another 4 cents a gallon here. I suppose they'll jack it up again on Memorial Day.

Yeah I know. But rice spikes the blood sugar in people of Caucasion descent.

White rice is bad for use white people. Brown is better due to the higher fiber content. I usually just eat whole grain old fashioned oatmeal instead. That stuff will kick butt on your cholesterol....

I why know they never complain about $5+ per gallon gasoline. I went to the gas station this morning, and here's what it said on the pump:

I saw a gas station down south once that on their sign, in place of the prices, said "ARM" under unleaded and "LEG" under diesel. I wish I had taken a picture it was classic!!

I've seen that at several places, Xa'at. The husband shot this when we were passing through Healy....nice decimal placement.

Default Busted !!

ya caught me.. I made a mistake !! gosh !! I am terrible and I apologize fully and admit it.

I keep thinking Point Hope..prices, customs, traditions, that is what the price is there. I just assumed it was the same here. My mistake.. thanks floyd.. for pointing out that error.

I haven't (personally) had to purchase Gas in years.. even though I am in Barrow now (since last August) my thoughts etc are always in Point Hope I am anxiously waiting to return, Uvanga asiliq, (I'm homesick).

In the early 80's gas was over $3.00 a gallon in Point Hope.

I guess I should have you proof read everything before I type anymore..

I value your comments as you have taught me so much that I have never even heard of or known before.. I tip my hat to you SIR.

You are a true scholar !!

In Point Hope we use Diesel to heat our homes.. that is why I quote these prices. 10 cents off.. 60 cents off I am truely so sorry for making a mistake of such epic proportions.

Again I apologize for misleading the facts :

Yes these are Barrow Prices, in this sign!
