Incredible. What I also had missed is that the AST also solved two previous cold case murders using the same strategy in the last year or two, all murders of young women in the 90's.

We have a lot of unsolved cases in Alaska... You have to wonder how many people are out there who thought they got away with it are sitting there sweating, waiting for that phone call...

Not only in Alaska, but across the country. My wife's a fan of the Genetic Detective, the ABC show about CeCe Moore working with police across the country, including on the Sophie Sergie case in Fairbanks. The details of each show are a little macabre, but it's great to see families getting closure often after many years. And also great to see that these bad people are not getting to wait until after death to face their deserved fates.
