Default Anybody going to see Elton John??

[SIZE=2]I can't believe it!!!
I know I rarely pipe up on here....but have you guys seen the news about
the Elton John concerts in Anchorage and Fairbanks?

I have been saving my miles to go south for some serious furniture shopping...but screw that...we're going back up to Fairbanks! We've gotta do the damn milk run again, (yuck) and overnight in Juneau up and
back (ditto)...but!!! Elton John!! Playing piano!! In person!!!
I haven't been to a concert since we went outside years ago for the Stones..
Anybody else going? I know he isn't everyone's cup of tea---lots of chatter in the Fairbanks opinions pages...but it's so nice to have a concert of that size here. I can't wait!

29 May at the Carlson Center, Fairbanks. Wife told me about it and we seriously considered...but as they say, everything is bigger in AK (including prices). Then again, perhaps I'm just cheap. Not really a bad seat in the Carlson depending on how they setup the stage.

I think it is very cool he is coming up here (also Anchorage if I'm not mistaken).

28th in Anchorage.
Tickets for Fairbanks go on sale Saturday at 10 am, for Anchorage on Monday morning.
I'm almost embarrassed to admit this, but when they announced it on Tuesday, I did
alot of googling and found out that if you join his "RocketClub" you can buy advanced
tickets. So now I'm a "RocketClub" Member---hah!
Was $250 for the two tickets, but they're supposed to be excellent seats.

Tickets going to ~ $120 is NOT so bad for this.

Good seats for a venue like Madison Square Garden can push one grand, and then down.

I wish he was coming to Juneau. I couldn't afford the tickets, but it'd be fun to talk about it with people who would go.
