Default Summer in Bethel

I am headed up there in June (until Oct) to work at Papabear adventures and fly their float planes! I get free room and board at PBA which is totally amazing, but my bf Chris is trying to find a place in bethel to work/live. So if you know anywhere he could stay (24 yrs old) without having to sell a kidney to pay for it, I would really appreciate the heads up. Also, if you hear of any jobs avail. in the area that would be amazing as well! Hope all is well and spring has sprung up there for you! Thanks in advance! =)

Kate

Thank you for the beautiful pictures! I had a feeling from reading the other posts that you would be the one to offer some advice! He had emailed Steve to see if he had any positions available for the summer and Steve said he didn't. Too bad since it would be pretty much amazing to have him there as well. Chris is super into hunting/fishing so working at a lodge would be like a dream come true for him, even if it was just washing dishes! He pretty much would be willing to work for just room and board (what a deal!) He is a great guy but it is hard trying to find something up there when you're so far away! I'm glad to hear that they are such nice people. Maybe next time you see Steve you could give him some of my puppy dog eyes and ask reaaaaalllly nicely again. haha but yeah...if you know of anything let me know. I really appreciate it!

And oh those pictures......I'm so excited!

Default Help?

So there are a couple of Jobs with the ONC fishery posted on the Alexsys website. Subsistence Fishery Technicians and Test Technicians as well. Either of these jobs would be perfect. He called today though, and the lady made it sound as if they only hired within the tribe. Does he even have a chance if he applies? It also says to fill out an ONC application which I cannot find anywhere online! Any help would be MUCH appreciated!!

Thanks!
Kate
