I'll be moving south here in a few months. Anyone know the best way to ship a vehicle outside?

There are trucking companies that do this; check the net I would recommend. Also I believe you can send it via ship or barge. Any which way you transport it, it will be very expensive. What part of the South are you headed to?

When in the military, I used to take my car to some place in Seattle, a company that would ship the car to Anchorage. Since the car would be transported on a barge, I would first apply a heavy coat of wax after washing the car. I don't remember what type of wax I used, but I had to leave the wax material on the car without buffing. The next step was a thorough physical inspection of the car by both the person who was accepting it, and myself, just in case they would damage it on the way here. However, I never noticed any problems upon its arrival to Anchorage.

Thanks, Sarkar. That's the company I used long ago.
