Default Alaska Themed Names

Okay, let the laughing begin.....

I'm adopting a dog this summer, not sure of the age or sex (it's a rescue) and would like to find a name that is reminiscent of AK. I've got the typical Homer, Tok, Delta etc down. Suggestions - keep 'em coming!!!

Last edited by dwiggin3; 05-06-2008 at 02:14 PM.. Reason: spelling

We picked up brother and sister St. Bernards. They are around 15 months old. Kodiak (m) & Kenai (f). The more I think about it, we should have named them Dude & Chickie.

Lots of people here in Juneau have dogs named Taku. Chugiak, Alyeska, Chena, Sitka, Chatham, Dzántik'i and Klawock are all pretty names.

Default whats it look like?

Whats it look like? If he's black and white, you could name him "ptarmigan" and then just call him "chicken".

Look up the story about the town named Chicken for the inside joke on that.

For a white-color and plump dog, "Beluga" sounds good. Just kidding

A black female Lab? "Raven"
