Make no freakin' mistake; just because I posted that doesn't mean I'm a Republican or any such nonsense. Have you gone to the Mug Shot yet, Satch?

Speaking of republicans. I'll have to get together with you to let you in on how to vote....
. Actually, from your past posts you won't have a problem. |

You're just experiencing the fact that human intelligence is inversely proportional to the number of humans involved in the decision making process.
By and large, any randomly selected individual person that you might meet on the street will seem to be at least fairly intelligent, moral to some degree, and generally reasonable. PEOPLE, as in a crowd of people, are almost always irrational, amoral, prone to hysteria, and commit savage acts of mob behavior for no discernable reason. People as in "we the people" in our tens or hundreds of millions make our decisions based on almost completely irrational reasoning, with no discernable moral basis, and seem to collectively have the intelligence of a flatworm despite the undisputed presence of millions of otherwise intelligent or even brilliant members. The first two are probably an unavoidable part of the human conditon, but the third is just what you get when your only qualification for voting is the ability to fog a mirror for the better part of two decades. Congrats on getting out of The Peoples Demokratik Republik of Kalifornia, hope you like it up here. ![]() |

That reminds me; I've got to remember to mail in my ballot.
You'll be relieved to know that I didn't vote for Obama, Satch. ![]() |

Satch,
It almost seems comical. Back in February on the Idaho forum, a gal by the name of Cali something or other was trashing Idaho something fierce and couldn't wait to return to the Republik of Kalifornia! I to lived in that Republik hell hole for a time back in the middle 70's and as I recall...it SUCKED then too! Glad to hear you have made it to the Great White North! |
