Default Might be going to the Univeristy of Alaska Fairbanks next spring

I was wondering what the temperature would be like and whether any of you have graduated from this school? Is it any good?

This time of year it's above freezing during the day. I think.

I didn't graduate but what's that matter. It's a fine school. Temperatures are really irrelevant.

UAF is much larger than other UA campuses. It's beautiful out here during the Spring. For example, right now birch and willow trees are turning green, with a sort of topaz-color. The temperature is around 60 degrees or higher during the day, and perhaps around 35 to 40 during the night. It's 7:25PM, the sun is shinning quite brightly. We should be getting around 18 hours of sunlight already, which will turn to around 24 by June 21st. It's a little cooler than usual this year, but temperatures around 80 degrees and higher are possible in this area, and perhaps -45 or colder around December and January.

UAF is big in engineering, and space. It's a research-sort of University, so there is a very large International Research Center, perhaps the largest one in the Northern Hemisphere in relation to Northern lights, and global warming research.

The biggest thing you might consider is that not many major universities will recognize UAA if you decide to transfer. Once you start a degree program there, you should plan to finish it there.

I have never heard of another major univeristy not recognizing course work from UAA. Where did that information come from? My wife graduated from there and the UW accepted her course work when she was finishing up her bachelors degree.

maybe Harvard won't, but who cares. It's usually the electives that have a hard time transferring, not the core courses. And some universities have a time limit, for some it's 10 yrs.
