Cells on the North Slope (Hope, Coldfoot: airport, bars, cell phone)

For those of you that may be reading that work on the North Slope and call across the USA I am just curious to know.....

which cell phone provider do you use
which model cell phone
does it work well for you?

I am assuming that you would have a Nation Wide Package?

I have a service with Verizon and have had it up here for two years on their national plan. Seems to work alright, I have a Wyoming number. Hope that helps

I'm a local. I use ACS with an antique (at least thats what everyone tells me) Nokia and it works great here on the slope.

Motorolla something or other.
Works fine. Looking at it right now, getting about four bars. I get a full five around the airport in Deadhorse. Of course this only applies at Prudhoe. No service down the line to Faibanks, though I'll let you know if it works in Coldfoot.
Don't know what plan, my wife takes care of all the billing!
