Wow, that's "cheap." It's been in the 3.90's range in VT for a while, and I believe Alaska was one of the first places to hit $4 a gallon.

Its averaging $4 a gallon here in Anchorage. I'm going home back to bush Alaska tonight, I'll let you know how much it is out there.

Its 3.90 in Louisiana right now too and they have oilrig and refineries go figure...

Even if we could supply all our own oil, the prices would still be what they are, they're determined on the markets by investors looking for big profits. And if a gas station prices their gas drastically different from the others in the area and the market value, they'll get fined by the government. I remember after the Katrina stuff when oil prices surged, some gas station had kept their prices low, and got fined for it... |

It is the price of Fuel oil! That is if you don't live in LosAnchorage....

Today, 5/31, we paid freeken 4.17 a gallon in the Valley here in Alaska. |

It's around 3.90 in Little Rock right now - I'm going to be driving back to my hometown in Missouri on Monday, then leaving out of Little Rock again on Thursday bound for Alaska - I'll update with a running score of what gas prices are keeping me crying along the way. And some pictures along the drive as well.
Can't wait. As if you couldn't tell...
