Travelling to Whittier via cruise ship in July 2008. What's the best most economical way to get to Seward .

Economical? I'd say drive. The most direct route seems to be by air.

It'll take about 2 hours or so to make the drive. Well maybe 3 hours. Will be lot's of motorhomes and sightsee'ers on the road in July. I don't have any idea if Whittier even has an airstrip!
