Yeah....no sh*t. I almost wish those poor "tribes" and "undiscovered" people could stay under the radar. Once they're "discovered," it's time to "educate" and "civilize" them to the evils of their ways and pump them full of Jesus and cheetos, McDonalds, Ipods, etc. Way to go!!!

I knew that would raise some hackles. hee hee. I am realy saving my pennies for my first trip to AK. I just bought two roundtrip tickets to anchorage and reserved a conversion van and camping equipment. Now I have to figure how to see and do as much as possible in the 7 days we will be there.

Oh sweetie, don't EVEN get me started about that! Actually, you should go on the politics forum, there's a thread regarding that. The dumb crap that's being said by a couple of particular conservatives that I'm sure we all know & love is absurd. I know, I go on there, get all pissed off & vow that I'll never go on there again....and then, I find myself on there again. Today I almost decided just to quit being on city-data all together, but then I thought of you guys & said hell no, I have no problem w/you guys & other normal people, it's the other idiots that drive me mad!

Me? with the high price of heating fuel, my plans are not too have as much fun as usual, and then cut and split a lot of firewood for a new wood stove. I still have to build a sort of shelter to keep the firewood dry (a long and narrow structure without walls but with a roof). I also plan to replace all the windows, and two garage doors as well.

I may be able to squeeze a few hours of dipping for salmon, and finally, a couple of weeks of moose hunting in September...just before the snow falls
