I must add as its my duty; The USA economy is about to implode. Get all $'s out of all financial institutions. Get on the sidelines. Just keep a little in for short term expenses. Keep $3000 cash on hand at all times. Take the hit and get the $'s out of the 401K before it takes a 60% hit. dont believe the banksters and Your socalled" financial pros ". Look up a dollar chart and see the desimation!. And rent in town for now-- youll thank me later.

Real Estate prices in Alaska will fall another 40% . Wana be a sucker? NO

All the Wall street crowd and Wash. insiders are moving into gold and silver and foreign real estate, so WHY SHOULDNT' WE????????????????

The rich are bailing and the middle class is about to get RYALLY ZKRWEWED.

And dont get caught up in this election BS-- its just another distraction for the sheeple? There hasnt been a popular election is 40 years. Make the hard choices-- You Will Be Happier .

Mountain,

I'm a realtor and have spent time in McGrath...but I don't sell anything out there.

You need to look at landinalaska.com realtyak.com remoteproperties.com etc.

Here is one from landinalaska (http://landinalaska.com/P079/P079.htm - broken link)

I don't share your gloom and doom, but then I live NORTH of a bridge that could stop the flood from Anchorage......

Folks that do "pull out all their $$$", will find nothing of value if everything collapses..so why do that and cause a panic? The ONLY thing of value is your Faith, your Family, and your Food! In that order.....People who still believe everything they are told are fools....stop believing the news.

We have just had TV cut off....couldn't pay that bill, and put gas in the tank! It actually is good, now if only my husband could stop smoking! He fell for that old line 25 years ago....But if you really want to know what is going on, read ENERGY KEEPERS / ENERGY KILLERS The New Civil Rights Battle by Roy Innis. He is Chairman of the Congress of Racial Equality and has some profound words about what is happening in the US today and why.

Hey, I used to live out there. Land/homes out there usually sell by word of mouth....people moving out etc...Also, you can contact the City of McGrath...they have records of plots of land for sale. Go to Borealis Broadband - McGrath. It's the town's message board. People post land/homes for sale on there all the time. You can leave a post and see if anyone responds. Good luck!

what do you mean? the market collapsed just a couple of months after he posted this. property prices have dropped everywhere, including alaska (though not as much as other places).

the market hit an all time high which was an anomaly...it came back into adjustment....it seems to be on a slow imploding rate but as far a total collapse...no....just adjusted back down to what it was.
