no I'm serious. A cabin? they're cramped and over priced. Save 2 grand and stay on the solarium. You're relocating, not cruising. Anyway, the solarium is more fun, and free.

I two berth from Bellingham to Juneau is $352.00 for all three nights or $117.00 per night which is the cost of a decent hotel room. I don't know if I could take sleeping in a chair... What is on the solarium?

Make sure you bring some sheets from home with you for the cabin. I remember Xa'at saying something about the sheets being scratchy because of the detergent used.

lol, she is very very laid back.. She is so laid back that if you give her table scraps she will sniff it before she eats whatever you give her. She doesn't like certain things that another dog would kill for but she turns around and eats broccoli, grapes (if you peel them for her), cauliflower and such.. she is really quite and odd dog So, no toys she will probably sleep the entire trip.

You have access to the deck so it can get colder with people going in and out. The only time the car deck is open is when the ferry docks. In any case, it won't be cold enough to make a difference at that time. I traveled in December with our dog and it was warm enough for him.

Who gets the top bunk?

The solarium is at the back of the top deck and is open at the rear. They have lounge chairs you see at pools that can be laid flat. Throw a sleeping bag on one ant it's comfy since they have overhead heaters that keep it from getting too cold. Personally, I prefer a cabin so you can have some privacy and a quiet area to get away from the crowds.

(From Crossfire's wife)

You folks are the greatest for keeping the info coming! This is one of the best boards on any matter I've visited - - - speaks well of you Alaskans

The 3 week count down to listing and showing our house begins. I found some momentum today. And my dumpster is coming next week. I'm a happy woman when I'm pitching stuff in a dumpster!

Me and hubby's b-days are at the end of Oct - I want to celebrate them this year on your side of the world having my way with a big crab leg!
Dawn
