I'm considering a move from Homer to Nome. My wife wants to know about barging stuff up, and how, how much, etc.

I'm interested in any pros and cons you can give.

Theres no place like Nome

We don't live there but plan on moving there. If you read the current Nugget it looks like the price for every thing is going up around Nome due to fuel prices.

Hey, I can keep my "There's no place like Homer" sign with only a few modifications!

But, as to why: There are some jobs there that interest me and I'm tired of the rat race here in the big city. Seriously, I like the idea of being even more off the beaten path.
