Hi everyone. I am new here. I am probably going to take a year or two off from work to travel. I have recently developed this bizarre fascination of Barrow and am thinking of spending three months there (June - August) to just relax, write, explore and experience the midnight sun. Does anyone know of a good source for information on Barrow? I defnitely need info on hotels or possibly a short-term rental. Are there any sites on the web that may help?
Is it true it snows 12 months per year there? I looked up the weather for the area on weather.com, and although the highs (on average) are mid-40s in summer, the lows appear low enough for snow. Is that that case? Wow - it may be a freezing summer for me. Wait, San Francisco summers probably aren't that much warmer
