Post Cab Fares in Alaska

I am about to take a trip in the next few weeks to AK and am looking at a possibility of getting taxis for transportation in a couple of locations. Can anyone give me an idea of the types of fares to expect for a ride from say...Ted Stevens Airport to downtown Anchorage (one way)? How about from Healy to Denali? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Just go to Budget rentals at Ted Stevens and get a car for $19.99/day.

I don't think you can take a cab up to Denali, would be spendy. Like Satcher said, get a rental car and see the sights on your own.

Sorry everyone, I don't think I was being clear on why I am asking this question. I am arriving in Anchorage a couple of days ahead of meeting up with a tour group that I will be traveling with (not a cruise tour...all land based) throughout Alaska. Once I meet up with them my transportation will be provided for me. However, in the mean time I need to find a way to get transportation from the airport to the hotel I am staying at in Anchorage. From what I can tell rental cars in Anchorage are going for around $80 to $90 a day which is most certainly not feasible compared to other methods of transportation (ie - taxi). So I am asking what can I expect to pay for a trip in a taxi from the airport to downtown Anchorage?

Second scenario:
Once I have met up with the tour group, we will be traveling to Denali and staying at a hotel in Healy, AK. On one of these days the tour group will be going to the park to do a third-party bus tour through Denali that I have no interest in doing. Instead, I am wanting to get to the park earlier than the group is planning to arrive there (in other words, the shuttle may not be available to get there) and do some hiking. Afterwards I want to return to my hotel room to freshen up some before I leave to go and meet up with a third-party vendor for a helicopter tour of Denali, etc. Since none of this falls in line with the itinerary for the tour group, I will most likely have to take transportation upon myself to get to my destinations. Therefore, I am looking at a shuttle or taxi service of some sort to transfer me from place to place. That being the case, what would a ride cost from Healy to Denali or vice versa?

Thanks.

All of the hotels have free shuttles from the airport to the hotel and back to the airport again. Downstairs in the baggage claim area of the old part of the south terminal there are direct phone lines to the hotels. I think there might some in the Alaska Air part, too. If you're coming up with Delta, they have those in the North Terminal also. Depending on where you're staying, you should go rent a bike and ride the coastal trail, this is a fun place to ride. I'm not sure on the Healy to Denali part.

As I stated previously, you can get a rental car for $19.99/day from Budget. That's what we did when we first arrived. The only way you'll pay more than that is if you use Avis, which you should avoid at all costs.
