Alaskan Root Beer (houses, pubs , offer)

Does such a creature exist? I'm taking about root beer brewed here not something imported from the lower 48. Does it exist? Is it any good?

I've had some home brew rootbeer a few times. But I don't know of any commercial brands.

Pepsi and Coke have bottlers here, thats made in Alaska.

The Hangar on the Wharf in Juneau has Thomas Kemper Rootbeer on tap, but I believe it's a Washington rootbeer.

You're right akck. Is the Hanger someplace I can get a drink without being trampled by tourists?

The Hangar is a restaurant/bar is frequented by locals and tourists, so you're just as likely to get trampled by locals. Seating for meals can be a problem at times, but you can usually find a spot at the bar and can order food there too. Depending on where your ship docks, it can either be a short or long walk to get there. Check out this web cam:
