I haven't booked anything for Ketchikan yet. Is the fishing any good this season?

it is...RIGHT NOW....for salmon...still some kings, and the coho are in...and it's better at night....I don't know when you'll be in Ketchikan?? You'll definitely want to check again before you come.. We've been doing good w/ yellow eye & halibut...snapper especially good...and that should only get better...

I notice that there will be 3 other ships in port with us. That'll mean about 8000 people.
I know how miserable an experience that can be in the Carribean. How do y'all cope with a constant flow like that up there? I would like to try & catch a salmon or a halibut though. I haven't fished in a long time.
