Well if you lived here...your folks would have a reason to come and visit you in Alaska! Have your folks ever been here?

I checked into information on the University of Alaska, the Sitka Campus, their web site is pretty nice, they have some wonderfull photos of the campus and surrounding area, I also found that A of U ranked pretty high academicly although you dont hear much about it, mainly because it doesnt seem to be one of the popular "party" or "sport" themed colleges. If you want to impress your parents, show them facts about the schools academics and areas of study..... Also, play up the fact that the campus is not the "party" type of campus, so you'll be able to "STUDY" more !! "hint hint" lol

Don't exclude the UAF campus from consideration! Fairbanks is the headquarters campus for the university system and a great school! Fairbanks is also a great place to live and play. Outstanding cross country skiing on campus and downhill skiing 10-15 minutes away. Lots of great restaurants in Fairbanks and the arts community is outstanding, with many art galleries and the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra is great! Check it out at http://www.uaf.edu

Well pending on what you're going for it's pretty good.

UAA does have on of the best RN programs in the US. UAF also has one of the most recognized Oil Engineering programs in the world.
