"Well, you know how it starts off: some work or author strikes you and suddenly you want to read and write all the time and become the next Great American Author. So....you plug on with graduate work with the best intentions of going on with the PhD, because you have to pay the bills while you're writing that great novel, don't you know? Ahh...that was the plan. Get degree, get job, get tenure, write brilliantly, have TAs take my teaching load while I pontificate and guard the Ivory Tower of Knowledge. "

Hahahha!! That's great. SoooO true. Damn, for a second there I thought I (master plan) was really unique. I curse Oscar Wilde and Harper Lee

"I find the plan just kind of works its way out, but that your master plan isn't quite what you envision. So long as you move in A direction, you should be fine."

As often as I hear this, it's still never enough and is just as revitalizing as the time before. Thank you, Cobalt. Appreciated.

Yeah, thanks for the input. I'm weird. For some reason, unexplained, I just feel that I would be at a disadvantage transplanting myself back and forth. I'd want to reside there. That brings up a good point though. Perhaps I shouldn't look into a low residency program at all. I just assumed a fair amount of students still resided on/near campus.
