What you really need is a uranium PU-36 explosive space modulator!

Therein lies the difference between "hunting" and "Killing". Most liberal anti-gun, anti hunting type don't see the difference.

Dang Warpt, I checked all over Brians Gun and Tackle, they say the modulator is on back order and they have no idea when they will come in. But, ....you're right!!! have checked all over tryin' to find the ballistics on the danged thing, apparently the manufacturer is keepin' these details under wraps, just by way of the rumor mill, I understand it is the only thing that will keep venutians and/or plutonians at bay effectively. If it will work on those dastardly plutonians, it will certainly work on Griz!

Would that be considered a weapon of mass destruction?

Definitely no offense meant here, but you don’t want to be looking into a .375 H&H!

I’ve probably fired several thousands of rounds through various rifles and shotguns over the years, and I still wince at the thought if firing an H&H! The situation you are describing here, general defense against a bear, does not call for a high powered rifle (particularly in less skilled hands), and the H&H is a big daddy of rifles. Firing one can kick hard enough to make your nose bleed (I’ve seen it happen). Light one off in a populated area and miss (or even graze the bear and go thru), and the round will travel thru several houses before coming to rest, more likely killing one of the neighbors than the bear.

Again, no offense but this would be like me overhearing a couple of heavy ordinance guys discussing how bad a$$ a 100 mm Howitzer would be, then going out to find one! Probably end up blowing myself up and the entire block! I think Dirty Harry said it best: “A man’s got to know his limitations!”

Definitely stick with the shotgun!
