Default Several bear attacks lately, and this' the latest

A woman was attacked by a bear in the Kenai Peninsula, just a few feet from the Princess Lodge she works at.

The poor girl must have been terrified.

I don't know why they are surprised that it happened, since it was only a about three years ago that another young woman who was employed at the same lodge was attacked by a bear too.

My buddy was just down at Russian River Sunday night and there is a feisty young bear running rampant around there. He said it was much too young to be without it's mother and F&G may have to dispose of it. It's just one of the risks a person is up against living in Alaska. It's a sad story this young lady had to endure this ordeal...but I kind of like the fact I could be mauled by a wild animal in this day and age! Claw marks would beat any tattoo I could get!
