Actually, there are honest republicans who have not committed war crimes either.

Errr... I'll get back to you when I find out which one that is.

The out of stater still has not justified the fact that Yes Alaska has naughties, but so does every other state in the Union - we don't count Washington DC but that is where he is from -- where are the taxpayers dollars going to down there - especially DC where he is from and not even a state, explain where the rest of the crooks are - not just an Alaska thing - where are our Alaksan tax dollars going down there???????

The most serious charges against Stevens aren't really about corruption per se; they're about Stevens using the threat of legislation to force people to give favors to well-connected groups close to his friends. That's not just corruption - it's a complete abuse of his office. If true, it would mean his services were more or less for sale.

I've said it once and I'll say it again, I find it mind-boggling just how so many people think that conditions will improve if you put into office a bunch of radical leftists who want to jack taxes through to roof so that they can fund more entitlement programs and in the process create more Democratic voters. It's disgusting.

I hope to God that fool from Anchorage doesn't take Stevens' seat but then again, most Democrats in this state are centered around that city so it doesn't look good.

Oh well, my buddy said that it took four years of Carter to get us Reagan so we may have to endure a couple of very bad years in order to remind people just how destructive contemporary "progressive" group-think really is.
Satch, just remember that those leftists you despise so much can help this country, even if you refuse to think about that. Also remember that for every person on the right that you're rooting for, there is also a person on the left that I or someone else is rooting for. We all have a common goal of making this a better country & we all have an idea & a person that we think can make this happen. Again, we're all in it for the same reason.

Well, we have had wars with Republican presidents, and so with Democrat ones. As far as I can tell, there has not been one single US president found guilty of war crimes, and I doubt any will.

That said, I am not a Republican nor a Democrat, and clearly understand that corruption has no political boundaries.

I fail to see how devotees of such a failed mindset can "help" this country. You can't tax your way to prosperity. Contemporary liberalism stands in direct contravention of reality and economic fact.

Not to mention the frightening foreign policy aspects of such a world-view. It is child's play to lay a wrecking ball to policy proposals such as those put forth by Karl Marx Jr (Obama) but yet the media does everything in it's power to shield him from tough questions and ignores the mountains of fact which debunk his predictable socialist ideas.

However, talking about this just gets me p*ssed off because I don't want to see the country ruined by the cowardly, socialist Dumbocrats. My rant is nothing personal against you karfar and I'm going to stop now before I have an aneurysm.

We could send all the extremists from the far left and far right to Point Hope with some plastic Reindeer antlers. Seems there is a shortage of targets right now. May solve multiple problems at once.

So, lets see... you call them 1) cowardly, 2) socialist, and 3) Dumbocrats. But of course you have nothing that gives any credance to such name calling...

Lets see, when the last Democrat left office about 8 years ago we had a really great economic boom that had basically lasted for his entire term in office.

So you are saying we should not vote for people who do that, but we should vote for people who destroyed that (not just for 8 years, but probably for the next 5-10 years no matter who is elected this fall).

I think you must be on to something! Can you tell us what it is, so
we can all avoid it like any other plague?

The Republican's were having a contested primary with two contenders wanting to take Steven's seat.

Mark Begich, the Democratic mayor of Anchorage is poised to be the next Senator from Alaska.
