Default Shopping in Alaska

interested in the cities of Fairbanks, Juno, Barrow, Juno. What kind of shopping malls do these cities have? Do they have any designer items such as Louis vuitton or chanel? What are the main shopping department stores in these cities. Hope someone can help.
thanks!

There are definately malls here...but the only name brands I can think of are Levi's and Carhartt! Perhaps one of the "city folk" can enlighten us on others?

Well I just went shopping in downtown Anchorage last week and the biggest name store their was Nordstroms, and David Green he sells the fur coats. Thats it along with the normal Jcpenneys, and Ambercromie stuff of the sort. Nothing like LA or NY. I'm not sure how Juneau is but when I checked a job offer there they were just getting their first wal-mart and was told that most ofthe town wasn't happy and that was from a girl my age mid-twenties so I couldn't imagine many big name stores. I've been told if you don't like jeans and t-shirts its not your place. Thats what the girl said jeans and cahartts.

Hey now, I got 2 new flannel shirts today (50% off), and they don't even have a carhartts logo anywhere. Can you say height of fashion?

My boys live for trips to the Army Navy Store downtown. Carhartts central. My oldest got a new set of refridgi-wear bibs for Christmas this year and was pretty well pleased (of course he's oilfield trash in Prudhoe on a 3 and 2 rotation).

And where else is there a warehouse store dedicated to fishing and hunting besides Anchorage?

Alaska Industrial Hardware is a little pricey, but I can still kill an hour or so in there.

Who says there's no shopping.
