Haha, this dude is serious. This is a vast area. Not many houses far off the road there. If you are from the lesser 48, you better look into hunting game and get all your hunting/fishing licenses first hand. Hope you make a game plan incase they have to go and search for you. Alaskans generally hate it when tax money is spent on looking for idiots in the wild with big egos thinking they can survive in the wild here.

This area is up in the mountains, usually the first area to get snowed in. Can get brutally cold, too. Good luck.

OK. Actually, you're just north of route 1, closer to Anchorage and closest to Glennallen. What plans have you made? How are you being picked up at the end of two weeks? Guns are a good idea. How are you getting to Alaska? Do you plan on hunting for food? What are your communications plans? Radio, satellite phone, cell phones? What are you going to do if someone gets injured? What if the weather turns bad? Will you be able to survive for another week? Two weeks? How much skydiving experience do you have? Will you be prepared for a wet landing?
With the information given to date, I don't rate your chances as being good on surviving the experience.

These guys are gonna be the grand prize winners of the Darwin Award.
But then again he could be staying at a Holiday Inn,,,,
Oh my Lord, the Discovery Channel to the rescue again. It's T.V. folks. I don't care where they shoot, it's edited in Hollywood, by guy's sitting in a nice office and think the wilderness starts at Bakersfield.
And as for the License thing, you're special because?,,,,,,,,, ya oughta read a book about "poachers".
