Palin-Parnell
Ok, Palin has been picked for VP and Parnell is running against Young. If Parnell wins Young's seat and Palin goes to the White House, where does that leave us? Makes you wonder.

My reading of the State Constitution and statutes, indicate that should the Lt. Governor office be vacant, the governor shall appoint a replacement from the department heads, subject to approval by the legislature. Should both the elected governor and Lt. governor not be able to serve, the appointed Lt. governor shall become the acting governor and a special election shall be held to elect a new governor and Lt. governor.
So, if they both get elected, we'll have an acting governor who was a department head and then a special election for both positions.
