Made it to Williston ND at about 7 PM Central Time. North Dakota is one long drive, not bad after Minot though.

poohouse, the 2500 should do you just fine to haul just about anything you have. We are still pulling about 6000 LB. and not having any problems now with the 1500.

I resided in Williston for a couple of years - long ago. Not my favourite location. I've heard there is a boom in the area.

It seems like a big oil town to me, not sure though. We're staying the one night here.

That is what took us up there, Barkley...and inevitably what led us away - thank the gods. My father was miserable working there.

Made it to Glacier National Park, well, Hungry Horse to be exact. We're here for 2 days, 3 nights. All is going well so far. Truck/trailer is holding up well and so is the Jeep.

Until next time...

Today we decided to have short easy day to help rest up a bit, so we headed just around the corner to Hungry Horse Dam. After checking out the dam, we choose to continue on down the same road that runs along the edge of Hungry Horse Reservoir. Little did we know how large the reservoir is. Was a nice paved drive for quite some time, then the pavement ended, the road narrowed, went higher, and the edges got steeper. I had my GPS, but I didn’t have all the area maps needed. We just kept driving. And driving. After about 4 hours we made our way around the reservoir and ended up about 1 mile from where we started.

Tomorrow we head off to Spokane WA. to continue our journey.
