At Independance Park, but spring is when that gets going. The rest you would have to walk around and talk to them in person

They're not known for their stability. If you've got a family and need to rely on the job for future & security, I wouldn't advise it. If you're single and mobile, I'd say go for it---Seward's an awesome town

I worked for the drydocks for about a year. Noisey, dirty place. And colder than h*** in the winter, due to high winds. But they do hire welders quite often. I recall they had about 10 or so welder dudes, about 6 laborers, 2 or 3 machinists, a couple electricians, a couple foremen, and about 3 admin staff . If you hire on there, I hope you can put up with the "salty" language, 'cuz there seemed to be plenty of it. Try checking their website off and on:

Uh....there is the rare exception: I have seen exactly ONE deer in Seward, in my 60 years here. A Sitka blacktail doe. Standing beside the road. Others have reported 2 or 3, and my sister saw one about 10 years ago. They are very rare here.
A friend went to the local fish and game, inquiring whether he could legally shoot deer here. The warden said "there are no deer in Seward". So my friend says "ok then, can I go back to that spot where I saw it, and shoot that deer that doesn't exist?"

I visited Seward in the summer. I liked the style of the buildings.
