I take back the dumb ox, ignorant , statements.

Its so hard to comunicate this way effectively for me.

Its just about takin care of People. I think.

The selfish 'I for me 'and my own type attitude bar none ' is the reason the USA got in the condition of corruption it is.

Lets all admit it; Wash. D.C. is a corrupt bastion of manipulation.

And we all deep down are searching for a place to find peace and harmony so we can make ourselves and our neighbors and other people and our world (which is in harmony) A BEST PLACE. And we wont settle for Utter Perfection till we die. So its worth Livin!!

God help us all.

Yes CD; Up to Us.

Corporations have run amuk because bought off politicians let them do so.

People can govern themselves.

But Oil ought to be local !

All the oil coming out of Alaska goes to foreign countries.

I know theres good arguments for that.

But if The US Government never got in bed with the whores in the first place we wouldnt be struggling like we are. I cant believe the wages for help in alaska? Lucky to make 10$ and hour.

Theres ways to be rich in Alaska, and have resources to thrive, thats what we all want.

Well the sun shines here in the great white north.

And this poor thing seems to be waiting for the wind to let up. Running about 43 below in the wind today.

There are problems with living anywhere. However, AK is dependent on very long distance transportation networks with limited capacity. The worst case scenario would be a major earthqauke in winter striking Anchorage. With a population of 270k+ plus the population of Palmer/Wasilla the shutdown of utilities and of inbound cargo would cause a major hardship. As far as the economy goes, if it goes sour then you can always leave. I remember back in the late 80s when the housing market went bust the outbound traffic on the Alcan after PFD checks out was impressive. I was lucky to be stationed up there with enougn time remaining to buy a foreclosure and flip it later to upgrade.

I am a woman of 53...Anyone can survive almost anywhere with basic knowledge of survival. I taught my kids when they were very young. My daughter hated me at the time for it but as an adult she ran into a situation where those skills saved her and her friends. I finally received a "Thank You" after almost 25 years. I think all kids should be taught how to rough it in the wild in any weather. I don't have to worry much about mine. Amen.
End of the world as we know it is ineveitable at this point so we have to adapt with it. Being flexible can save your life.

I'm no photographer. But for every picture you see...I have to take 5 or 6 to get one I would show public!

And I watch survivor man and a few other of them shows, not for surviving here...but places like the desert or the jungle, where I've never been. A person might need that knowledge some day. I think the hotter places would be worse on me than a colder area. Believe it or not I love natural disasters like volcanoes and earthquakes or major storms. Don't ask me why...I just do. Would not bother me a bit to sit with no power for a week. Done it a few times over the years.
