As far as I know (wink-wink) the K300 won't start for a few months.

Today is the day.... will the ex-manager of the K300, Staci Gillilan, plead guilty? The K300 could have raised money for the race by having a betting pool on the subject. That'd be justice for sure. We could have bet on the plea, the sentence, or better yet the color of the jump suit. OK, that's probably not going to happen. :/ For the record though I'd have gone with no contest, a stiff fine and orange.....or maybe blue. Step up and play ... what's your bet?

This sickens me.... a month later and no closer to anything and now it looks like nothing will happen until the end of Nov. if ever. Before it's over with nothing will happen, it will all be swept under the rug. For God's Sake, she's over there teaching our children like nothing in the world is wrong. If she can't be fired, and I'm not saying she should, because everyone is innocent until proven guilty, but she should at the very least be relieved of duty pending the outcome of the trial.

"As for her employment I'm guessing they have to wait until it's over before anything can be done, but when the time comes I hope someone will step up and do the right thing."

You would think someone at LKSD would do the right thing and dismiss her. She didn't only take money from the K300, she took money from the Kilbuck Year Book. I paid for a book and never did see one! I heard last year the site administrator was having her write checks to people. This is enough to dismiss her! There was another employee who was caught stealing money from there who was dismissed on the spot. Why is this so different? There are so many things wrong with this, I don't even know where to begin. What does this say for the leadership at Kilbuck? Or even the ASB? Or regional School Board?
I was asked this question one time......what do you all think.......What would have happened if she was a Native?

I don't think it has much to do with with Native v/s Non. I think the school district's position is mostly a result of her former role and pull in the Union. Her husband was VP or something and she held an office as well.... maybe treasurer. Not really but I think it was something.

Wasn't she mayor or a council member or something in Nighmute too? Busy girl....

I saw online the next court date is Nov. 26th.

Default Get your facts straight

First of all she is native.....Native American....Cree I believe....second she still has her job because nothing has been proven and she has admitted nothing, she hasn't even been idicted by a grand jury despite Myron's website claiming she was in May.....what a lier. Of course you can't expect a lawyer of thirty plus years to know the difference between arrested and indited. You can't lose your job just because the town bully says you need to. Has anyone noticed that all the news stories are just fund raising ads? This is the biggest fund-raising scam I have ever scene. If her name was Hoffman or Peltola nothing would have ever happened and we all know it. There have been rumors of money issues in the K-300 for years, they just finally found someone from "out of town" to blame it on. Stop hiding behind screen names and go talk to her if you know everything, otherwise...find something else to complain about like gas prices or cost of groceries.

They wouldn't have to use every news report as a way to raise funds if the funds were not stolen now would they?

You hit the nail on the head warptman, a thief is a thief no matter who is on the other side. Just because one of the people involved in the k300 from might be a "bully" does not change what was done. The way I see it the K300 is part of our community, part of who we are, part of our town, so the money that was taken was stolen from me as well.

As for the Grand Jury we'll just have to wait and see. If she had not flipped back and forth so much on her plea we'd have that answer by now. When the time comes I don't think people will have much trouble making up their minds.
