I know nothing of this case beyond that which was published in the newspapers. Having said that, the troopers arrested her on the charge of embezzlement.

I turn now to another story to illustrate a point. We had a nurse disappear last year. Her neighbor was found in possession of her ATM card, had made withdrawals with the ATM card (PIN needed there), had left evidence of being in her car (found abandoned at the airport), etc, etc. The troopers didn't arrest him for murder at first, but did haul him in for questioning. We ALL knew who he was. He had gone to trial for the murder of another woman 3 years before and was found not guilty. How much did it take for the troopers to arrest him? A lot of evidence.

Return to the case under discussion. The troopers don't, as a matter of course, manufacture evidence in this state. The monies were under her control, they disappearred. This makes her a person of interest, but would not necessarily lead to her arrest. Someone else could have stolen the monies from under her conrtrol and without evidence of her spending ill-gotten gains, she would be found to be not under suspicion. The troopers, instead, investigated and later arrested this woman. No longer a person of interest, but a true suspect. Key word being suspect here.

Do I make an outright judgment? No.

Do I have my suspicions and opinions? Yep.

Do I think she dunnit? Yes. I am human, with failings of my own. Would I be willing to hear evidence on her behalf? Yes. If there are such things, why has she not come forward with them to clear her name? This isn't Perry Mason, and the trial is not a massive drama waiting to happen. If that occurs in one case in 10,000, I would be shocked. Law and Order aside.

Lord, we are human here. We all have opinions. It's a public forum. Name-calling and mud-slinging are not necessary. Voice your opinions, please. Leave the names and crud on your side of the keyboard, please.

Lord whatever...you sit there and rag on the others for their opinions...yet fail to produce any kind of evidence in your claim of innocence. All your doing is calling everyone else names. Just goes to show your own 4th grade education mentality. You use a bunch of fancy words, yet actually say nothing. If you know something the rest of us don't...share it please. Or maybe a little less talk, and a little more shut the hell up.

There there Lord... your email had lots of words but didn't really say anything now did it? Sounds a lot like a double talking lawyer crap and maybe one with an axe to grind.

I'll try to spell the questions out for you to make it easier ... you can answer yes or no or if you can't we'll understand.

Did k300 $ go missing while she was in charge? that seems to be a given.
Was she arrested? Yes I think I heard something about that.
Did the school yearbook go missing while she was in charge of it? ooh, I know this one.... YES
For over 12 months did a yearbook ever get made? Nope
Were many of those checks written to her directly and were they deposited in her account? I've talked to a few who say their return checks show this.
Did she pay back the money she "lost"? My refund came from the school.
Did she pay in full for the Jeep she has or did the elderly couple have to sue them to get the money? Lets just say court records are public.
Is she a very loving individual both online, in person, and "a broad"?.. well to quote the Magic 8 Ball that sits on MyTube..."All Signs Point to YES".

By the screen name you have decided to use and by your posts here I'd guess that you know nothing except that you don't like someone named Myron. However, if you know anything or find that something above is wrong please point it out to us. It wouldn't be the first time I was wrong and I like to think I have an open mind.

Oh, and the hare brained bunny pun.. good one!

Why are people intimidated by the use of language beyond their vocabulary? Book learnin’ is fun! Don't be frightened by fancy words. You too can buy a dictionary if you have difficulty following normal discussions. They don’t cost much.

Once again, the facts in this case have not been presented to either me, the media (who are painting very broadly with a libelous brush), nor you net numbskulls posting opinions based on gossip.

I have made no claim of guilt or innocence. You would have noticed this had you not had your feelings hurt. This would have been prevented if you’d just buy that damn dictionary, already! Because I am not toeing the lemming line like you fellas doesn’t mean I made a claim one way or the other. I am just intelligent enough to know an ambulance chaser looking to bloviate will say whatever sounds good to entice incompetent journalists looking to sensationalize a situation for their own aggrandizement.

You can look all these words up with your new dictionaries. I refuse to dumb this down for you guys as you need to expand your minds. Remember what a great philosopher once said, “Free your mind and your ass will follow

TB, I am glad you enjoyed my pun. Frankly, I thought you too stupid to pick up on it. Just remember, an empty mind isn’t necessarily an open one.

It has been a pleasure bantering with you mental pygmies but I am off to have a life now. You may consider doing the same. Stand up, brush the cheeto crumbs off your stained t-shirts, and step outside to smell the fresh air. It probably smells like a nightmare where you are.

The day I have to pick up a dictionary and translate a bunch of hot air is the day I sit down on the couch and eat cheeto's. Not gonna happen.

Staci, you are brave for making a name like that. What are you going to plead? Alaska wants to know.

Actually "reputable" news organizations are told what to say & what sort of sensationalistic spin to add to news that would otherwise be ignored. News these days isn't about informing the population, its about telling the population how to act & react.

Irregardless of who stole the money, its my understanding that the race will be run in 2009. Does anyone know of any mushers that will be competing other than the ones listed in the news story?
