Default Will the K300 be back this winter?

After all that happened last Spring, does anyone know how the K300 dog race is doing now? Do you think they will be able to pull enough $ together to dig themselves out of the hole and have it and the other races? I've not heard much about it since the spring. I'd hate to see it die.

This race will never go away, period. This is the top musher's favorite race. The purse might be smaller than before and I'm sure that the entry fee will go up as well. You can goto the website and buy miles on the race there.

I'd been on the website but it just didn't look like things were progressing. I don't think it's been updated in months. Anyone know when the trial is? I'd bet it'll get settled out of court. Seems like that's the way these things work...

I heard she pled guilty last week. Yet she's still working in one of our schools, I wonder how that works. It's disturbing to say the least.

The manager embezzled money from the race fund. Under deposited funds.

Just as we start talking it was on the radio yesterday... I was wrong. She's not changed her plea.... yet, but they reported she was expected to on the 9th. Here's the info from the Spring from ADN.

yeah, they're working on a plea deal... so a change is forthcoming, they wouldn't disclose whether it'll be to no contest or guilty though. I'd love to see her suck it up and plead guilty... and yeah, I think it's sad that she's still employed at Kilbuck. :-/

I bet it'll be a "no contest". I don't think she has the moral compass required to plead guilty and accept responsibility for her actions. If she had the compass she wouldn't be in this situation now would she? As for her employment I'm guessing they have to wait until it's over before anything can be done, but when the time comes I hope someone will step up and do the right thing.
